I had surgery (not by Dr. Cheng) in September 2023 to correct spondylolisthesis at L4-L5 and assorted spine problems in that area. It was fusion with a cage that's supposed to aid the fusion process (as I understand it). The surgery was 'textbook' but the pain didn't get better and started getting worse. At 6 weeks, x-rays showed one screw had moved partly out of the vertebrae. For numerous reasons, it was late January before they told me a Dr Cheng would do it. His credentials were really impressive. He performed an LLIF. Everything went well and I'm 7 weeks out from surgery and feeling great. Before the revision I couldn't stand for more than a few minutes without needing to sit for a bit. I was in constant severe pain. Not now. Dr. Cheng did a great job undoing the previous surgery & putting in a bigger cage & screws. On top of being a great surgeon, he's really personable and quite honest about risks etc. I couldn't have asked for a better doc or outcome.
