After some bad experiences with other doctors, I finally found Dr. Kowal. She takes time to go over the results of your bloodwork, listens to your concerns and make recommendations that are practical and easy to understand. When my husband and I came down with Covid last year, I called her office to get Paxlovid. Her medical assistant called me back to tell me Dr. Kowal would not prescribe Paxlovid for me because I took Eliquis for a heart disorder. My husband, who also takes Eliquis, called his doctor's office and immediately got a Paxlovid prescription called into his pharmacy. I'm glad Dr. Kowal took the time to assess the possibility of the drug interaction for me. I think she is a knowledgeable and caring doctor.
