I recently had shoulder surgery, and Dr. Venable was my anestheologist. He was superb. He came into my pre-op room and sat down next to me to discuss my options, and explained in very understandable detail my options related to the anesthesia and pain control best suited for me. He showed great concern and compassion, and he took the time I needed to make the right decision for me. I knew he had looked at my chart before talking with me because he mentioned issues in my chart that may have had a bearing on my choices. His caring and compassionate nature is not something I have experienced in the medical community in a very long time. He made me feel like my health and welfare mattered to him. I highly recommend Dr. Venable.
