My Dad was recently hospitalized with a serious condition. When I went to the hospital, one particular goal was to speak to the doctor to understand the diagnosis and see what the options were so I could explain and review with my elderly parents. To be transparent, while there are certainly good medical professionals out there, I have grown accustomed to getting minimal proactive information, little bedside manner and limited time with the doctors.From the first interaction, Dr. Breaux was engaging, provided an explanation of my Dad’s condition in terms that we could all understand, spent time answering questions, made himself available if we thought of questions later or had needs, provided updates near real-time when they came in and did all this with focus, humor, respect and humility with each interaction.I was completely impressed and each interaction built upon the last. Even after discharge, Dr Breaux followed up with my Dad and helped my parents with his transition home
