Anesthesiologists are some of the unsung heroes of operating rooms: utterly essential yet often overlooked. In fact, I have had a handful of surgeries and never even known who the anesthesiologist was. Dr. Gagnon stood out by his thoroughness, attention to detail, and approachability. He spent more time with me pre-surgery getting to know my history than any anesthesiologist ever has and was personable and reassuring. He addressed my concern about post-anesthesia nausea and I had no problem whatsoever. I would not hesitate to return to his care or recommend him to others. Thank you, Dr. Gagnon, and the rest of the surgical team at Maine Med.
