Dr. Mammel delivered my daughter at the IU Med Center on 1/27/1988. I had severe pre-eclampsia, the HELLP Syndrome. Dr. Mammel saved the lives of both my daughter and mine. My kidneys failed, I had a blood clot, received 13 units of blood and was on life support. He slept on a cot outside my room. I was 31, third pregnancy. Thirty-one years later, my daughter, at age 31, is expecting her first. So very thankful for Dr. Mammel and his nursing staff. As a young doctor, he had many serious decisions to make, and I want him to know, we are both doing well.
