I had changed doctors twice, before checking out Dr. Ohliger upon recommendation of a coworker 21 years ago. He has helped me through spinal stenosis, broken bones, weight loss, sleep apnea, COVID, and so many other issues over the years. There were a few times where he squeezed me in due to an urgent illness. There were times when he got out books with illustrations to explain the source of my problem. Doctors who take time to talk things through, sometimes cause other appointments to be delayed. My wife and I consider that to be a sign of a good doctor. Sometimes I’m out after just a few minutes consultation, sometimes in discussion and preliminary exam he needs to do further eval and questions to discuss course of action. He stays at late as needed to take care of patients. He has called me on weekends to follow up on my condition when I had time sensitive problems. He truly cares and it is good to have a doctor who cares for the whole person’s overall health.
