I honestly think that Dr. Song is the best Ophthalmologist in Fremont, and perhaps the whole Bay Area. Approximately 20 years ago, after being under his care for a couple of years, I became impatient in his office waiting room one day, and left the building, and decided to see another Ophthalmologist that was in Fremont. It only took one visit with the other recommended eye doctor, to realize my mistake, and to return to Dr. Song's care. The other doctor, who I won't name, had been in practice in Fremont for many years, but was like a "snake doctor" compared to Dr. James Song. Since that time, Dr. Song has performed right and left eye cataract surgery on both me and my wife, and replaced with interocular transplants on both of us, which provides us with 20-20 vision. I am also very impressed with Dr. Song's thoroughness in checking us for possible eye problems, with routine checkups. That is very important, since we are both in our 80's.
