Dr. Bowman is intelligent and one of the best orthopedic surgeons in Alabama. He did a complicated knee replacement for me that was very successful. He takes plenty of time to explain and to answer all questions and urges you to call him if you need anything. He treats his patients as individuals—no “herd ‘em in; herd ‘em out” medical practice for him. He is thorough and cautious: if there’s even a slight chance of a major problem like a blood clot, he sends you straight to get an ultrasound. He is pleasant, charming and fun. I highly recommend him.
