Patient Reviews
Aug 10, 2023
I was diagnosed February 2021 with Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer. After my diagnosis, I started meeting my team of doctors. When I met my Onc, Dr Janakiraman Subramanian, he was a tall, articulate man. Very quickly he built a relationship w/ me. He is patient and made sure to understand my concerns and ideas. He is very easy to reach by phone or the portal. He was the only oncologist that introduced and gave me a card for his nurse to reach whenever I needed something. To no surprise, Dr. Subramanian was promoted & relocated to Virginia. He did all the heavy lifting and I was in a good place. Then I got pneumonia & an x-ray showed 2 small spots. This was February 2023. The spots could be from the pneumonia or my lung cancer was back. I had to wait and see if there were changes to the spots. Not having the relationship and trust with my current Onc in KC. I went to see him in Virginia. He is now back on my team of docs. I highly recommend, Dr Subramanian. He truly is the best!

Board Certifications
What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
