Tomorrow we will celebrate my son's 28th birthday. He's here with us, strong, smart and successful. One March morning in 1997 we brought Alex to Dr. Black barely breathing with a severe case of croup. It was her first day at NPCMC. She stabilized him and she had him airlifted to All Children's hospital in St. Petersburg where he recovered after a few days in the ICU. We all battled croup for several years. Words can't tell you how grateful for Dr. Black we are. I, Alex's mother, survived 5 very serious episodes of cancer. Dr. Black was there for all of us. Listen to her. Her heart is with her children and their families. You will never regret putting your child in her care. Most sincerely, Diane Green.
