I just figured I would cough for the rest of my life. Like a person with a weird voice or something else annoying, I just figured I’d cough. At the request of a friend I saw Dr Shatkin. After he heard my complaint and looked at my med list he smiled a coy smile like the guy who solves the puzzle on wheel of fortune. I was taking a medication (Lisinopril) that can cause cough. He stopped the medication and I can now sleep through the night without coughing. Amanda and his team in the office are always there for me. This is one of those practices where it’s all real humans. They care. The only practices that exist like this charge a concierge premium (they do NOT). I no longer fear the health care system because of this practice. I’ve even started seeing his partner Dr Gross and Jen Porco, his NP. Georgia
