My husband tore his left rotator cuff on the job. His right arm was already paralyzed from a previous accident. Surgery was needed. Finding a doctor using Workman's Comp insurance was overwhelming. Thank God we found Dr. Mickels in our online search. Unlike the previous orthopedic doctor that we consulted, Dr. Mickels was very personable and compassionate about my husband's situation. He discussed our treatment options and engaged us in the decision for final treatment. We decided to get replacement surgery. The surgery went very well. The medical team at the hospital was second to none. The communication between the doctor, workman's comp representative, the hospital staff, and the rehab team were OUTSTANDING! We are very grateful for our experience.
