After wearing eyeglasses for 50 years, I had Toric Cataract implants in 2015, after which my vision became 20/20 in both eyes, and reading glasses for close work. Six months later my vision began to degrade due to Fuch's Dystrophy. Eventually, my eyes were only correctable to about 20/40, so reading fine print without a magnifier and night vision was a problem. In 2019, I chose to go to Dr. Feuerman because he offered DMEK surgery. Dr. Feuerman explained the different type of cornea implants and the expected results. He performed DMEK on both eyes in late 2019 and early 2020. Dr. Feuerman is an amazing surgeon. My implants attached well within a couple of days, eventually resulting in 20/20 vision restored, except that I use inexpensive glasses for reading and computer work. Even though I left Austin three years ago, my implants are still healthy and my vision without glasses is very good. I have every confidence in Dr. Feuerman's abilities and patient care.
