I have been a patient for near 25 yrs. when I first had a UTI and another doctor was treating it with no results. Dr. Herman knocked it out quickly. I have always found that he listens and takes notes on what I report. He is very hands on-takes his blood right there himself, rather than sending you out to another facility. He is very thorough and conservative in his approach. If you report a pain, he will order a sonogram or a CT to be certain of the cause or to eliminate other causes. He does not rush to procedures, but will advise to watch some condition. Decisions are made jointly with the patient after discussion of benefits and drawbacks. Dr. Herman has concern for the individual patient rather than following matrixes. When the PSA test was suggested to be cut back for certain age groups because of statistics, he insisted on still getting PSA's. His reasoning is that even if only 10% get cancer, you don't want to be among the 10%. Waiting room time is minimal-staff friendly
