My spouse was 34 in 11/2011, found out he had St/2 Esophageal Cancer. We had MediCal, he was referred to KeckMedical USC. Pretty fast he had his 1st appt. With treatment and surgery on 3/2012. A month at USC he was well! Took months to heal physically, years to never heal from the cancer because it could come back elsewhere. Hagen was always upfront don’t take his attitude as negative he’s just straight out . His team did a fantastic job ! We couldn’t have went with anyone else who did this surgery for my husband . My husband was young and in Okay shape maybe a bit overweight but we didn’t know he had cancer then . He could’ve died and I would’ve been a widower at 26 with 4 kids ,1 was just 4 months at the time . Hagen, didn’t just care for my husband he showed great sympathy for all of us . Made sure we understood what was going to happen and the aftercare. His appts were made in a timely manner around our schedule with our kids , medications were always filled when needed. Thank You
