Patient Reviews
Sep 13, 2024
Dr. Shanklin had a nice combination of professional expertise, kindness and willingness to share her knowledge and then unrushed manner. It was an acute surgical emergency on a very busy day for her surgical schedule. My wife is an experienced senior nurse who has an eye for evaluating excellence. She gave Dr. Shanklin her highest recommendation as do I. In addition, Dr. Skoog of anesthesia and the mini nurses we encountered in the emergency room, the surgical prep area the operating room and recovery all reflect on Abbott Northwestern Hospital with pride.

Board Certifications
What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
