When I had my first visit with Dr. Hong yesterday, I didn’t realize hematology and oncology were connected! I literally had a panic attack when I entered the cancer wing. A nurse calmed me down and helped me realize I should relax until I met with Dr. Hong and got some information. That nurse was an angel and my visit improved at that point. Dr. Hong listened attentively and showed great empathy. We talked, outlined next steps, and I left feeling assured that I am in good hands.
