I just returned to the NYC area after 8 years away and I wanted to get connected to a physician attached to a major research hospital with access to the subspecialties Columbia offers. I picked Dr. Blanchard at random, to establish care and I can't be more pleased. He's pleasant, thorough, non-judgmental. He looked carefully at issues I brought up. He took time with me and got to know me a bit. He made multiple referrals in the Columbia network for me, to follow up for complete preventive care. I'd also say that the Columbia Doctors practice on 51st is a very pleasant environment. I am looking forward to hopefully having him as my primary care doc for a long time. I can't recommend more highly.
