Patient Reviews

I feel Dr Smith is an skilled, caring, and kind Ophthalmologist specializing in retinas. I was not very happy with 2 prior Opthalmologists, at other locations, and read reviews for him and set up an appointment with him last year. He is very good (and patient!) at explaining and also very relaxed, which made me feel comfortable and confident! I had had an injury where a tennis ball hit my eyeball and this caused premature detachment of my Vitreous (the gel inside the eyeball) which was causing me vision issues. While I could still see acceptably, this injury was causing a traveling 'hood' to go over my eye sometimes that bothered my vision. The only solution for this was a Vitrectomy, which is removing the vitreous and replacing it with saline (in my case). I waited approx 4 years to be brave enough to do surgery and I had the surgery on Dec 5, 2023. The surgery went well and this traveling 'hood' was immediately resolved and after one month the black specs disappeared, as predicted. I HIGHLY recommend Dr Smith for any retina issue!
