My husband is insulin dependent. He got a MRSA infection when we were on vacation on the bottom of his left foot. We came home and went to the emergency room at UPMC McKeesport. The doctor looked at it and contacted Dr. Sciulli. She came and took cultures to see what we were dealing with. She ordered an MRI to check the depth of the abscess. The next day he was in surgery. It was definitely worse than we thought. She kept us informed every step of the way. At one point she even answered a call at 4 am (how many doctors do that!). We never felt like a number to her. She understood our fears and never hesitated to make certain that whatever was needed got done. She is not only an amazing doctor but a compassionate and caring human being. We trust her explicitly. I would recommend her to anyone! Her staff is wonderful as well. They say you learn by example and it is obvious that they follow her lead. Thank you Dr. Sciulli for saving my husband's foot.
