I can’t find the words to express my gratitude to this doctor for both her skill and bedside manner. I’ve been going to her practice for over a decade, and I’ve never found it as helpful as I did today. 9 months ago at 40, I found myself having a miscarriage at 5 wks and haven’t gotten pregnant in subsequent months. After an ultrasound, a small polyp was identified, and hysteroscopy with polypectomy was scheduled. I have PTSD from severe childhood abuse and neglect, and I was terrified of any medical procedure and having to face the feelings of a traumatized 9 yr old now at 41. But Dr. Devine’s bedside manner helped put me at ease from the moment we talked about removing the polyp. Unfortunately my PTSD was so triggered on the day of the surgery that I couldn’t help but cry the entire time they prepped me. But I could tell that she understood more than any doctor I’ve had and made special efforts to inform the team about how difficult this was, and I was able to go forward with it.
