This review is a long time coming. Actually 24 years coming. I blew an aneurysm in my posterior communicating artery on October 2nd of 2000 and Dr. MacDonald was the attending at the time. He coordinated and ensured I had the best outcome - I was and still am a practicing RN thanks to his quick thinking as well as ability to guide his team. I had a 10-12 hour craniotomy with a few complications that were par for the course on an artery which was considered a "widow-maker" - yet here I am 24 years later still riding my Harley and working full-time as an RN. He addressed me at the level in which I was comfortable and all of our conversations were very point blank as an ER Nurse would want them to be. I have since referred many patients, family and friends to him from not only a professional but personal standpoint and will continue to do so. If I ever need any further or future neuro-surg attention, I know where I will be looking and who I will be calling.
