Patient Reviews
Feb 14, 2025
I was unable to raise my wrist above zero degrees, could not make a tight fist, and fingers would lock with constant pain. Dr. John Fowler performed surgery on my right hand in August 2024 and now my right hand-wrist is without limits, zero pain, and cannot tell that it had surgery. Dr. Fowler is an outstanding professional and a highly skilled surgeon. I felt confident in his abilities from my first meeting and throughout the entire process. I highly recommend Dr. Fowler to anyone seeking a master surgeon. The entire UPMC team was exceptional and as I have stated in previous posts, UPMS is the most professional, talented, and results driven medical organization that I have dealt with. We travel past other large medical organizations to have our medical needs addressed at UPMC and have NEVER been disappointed.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
