I saw Dr. X for 17 years until he retired from surgery in 2019. Initially, in 2002, I was in terrific pain with my foot and everyone else was telling me it was just a falling arch with a heel spur and to live with it. Dr. X was the first to suspect a tear across the fascia muscle, and boy, was that surgery a relief! By then, I had been hobbling around for 2 years, and had torn the cartilage in my knee so he also did that surgery, and later on, a knee replacement. The last time I saw him, I was in terrific pain with my shoulder, and he told me surgery wouldn't do me any good, that most of what I was feeling was arthritis. Instead, he sent me to physical therapy, and it worked. The pain subsided and while my shoulder is still arthritic, it's not bothersome 4 years later. I always enjoyed seeing Dr. X and his assistant, Renata. I wish him the best in retirement.
