I had a retinal tear, saw another doc in this office on Friday AM who said, I'm going to visit my daughter at school this weekend, so I'll do your surgery on Monday. Don't move your head around too much. By the afternoon I was completely blind in that eye. I called back in a panic; Dr. Maggiano set up my surgery for 6AM Saturday morning, re-attached the retina and saved my sight. He's a little gruff sometimes. And he saved my sight.
