I have had a serious series of detachments with complications. While all of the doctors at the RGW have been wonderful and each has a strength, the only person who ever made me feel really calm and cared about, taken care of, like I mattered as an individual was Dr. Minarcik. It is terrifying to feel debilitated, not knowing if you will ever be able to see again, feeling unattractive, in pain and then to have someone tell you that their group really cares while looking you right in your good eye and showing the face of compassion is everything. I feel that he is extremely capable, explains things more thorougly than anyone, takes the time to listen and answer questions, big and small. I cried when I left the office with relief and more faith than I had walking in.
