I was very impressed by his caring spirit and his interest in my medical case. Dr. Piccini was not my Cardiologist; however due to my complicated medical history and 12-day ICU stay; Dr. Piccini expressed his concerns about my condition, and was instrumental in having me placed back on the Heart and Kidney (duel) Transplant list; Even after all the signs were bleek and grim of being considered , he gave me a small glimmer of hope.I am a 58-year old Female with a 30-year old Autistic son. I am not ready to give up on my life, and Dr. Piccini gave me that extra boost to keep fighting. Sooo Here I am… Still above ground, waiting for my day of a potential transplant. Thank You to all the Doctors at Duke University Medical Hospital.
