I had very slow recovery after a surgery and then randomly spiking temperatures. My surgeon didn't seem very concerned about it. Thankfully my Primary Care Physician told me to get into the emergency room to get it checked out. There, Dr. Vargas took the time to figure out what was going on. He had experienced a similar case years ago and recognized what was happening. He took steps to treat it and now I feel so much better. I am very grateful he was on call when I went in.
