Dr. José Antilio Canas is one of the most amazing physicians that I have had the pleasure of working with. He was the endocrinologist for two of my three children. He was very patient, personable, and always answered all of my questions and was very encouraging. His bedside manners were superior! He always made sure to thoroughly explain conditions, different treatment options, and the effects of each treatment on my child, in particular. I never left an appointment feeling rushed, and I never left an appointment left feeling confused or not having the knowledge that I needed to care properly for my children. He was also supportive of non-traditional medications, which meant a lot , considering I have a child who survived a traumatic brain injury. We miss him dearly here in Jacksonville, FL at Nemours!
