I could tell that Dr. Leary was frustrated by the impossible task of working in an understaffed emergency department during the peak of the covid-19 pandemic. It must be difficult to be friendly and kind to patients with long-standing psychiatric complaints when there are patients literally dying of pneumonia several beds down. My hat goes off to Dr. Leary for doing his best in a health system that is underfunded and understaffed. If you are truly sick, Dr. Leary is the emergency medicine doctor I would want.
