I selected Dr. Knol because he was a DO instead of an MD. My issues are mostly muscular-skeletal, and I wanted an OD's holistic perspective instead of playing symptom whack-a-mole with an MD. I was a bit surprised that he dressed and spoke like an average person, but he started on time, listened carefully, was clear about what he knew and would need to refer out. During the appointment I gave him my labs from a previous doctor, he took a full minute to digest them, and after exactly the allotted 40 for an initial appointment, I formed the strong impression he knew exactly what he was doing, I trusted him, and he'll be my new PCP. I also wanted to give a shout-out to the front desk person. This was Thanksgiving Friday, so she was the only one there, but when there were three of us in line, she paused talking with the person in front to ask each of us what we needed, and gave us things to get started. Top rate.
