Patient Reviews
Jul 09, 2019
Often a review is based upon expectations. In today’s world of health care the PCP has become a case manager/traffic cop. Overworked and under compensated too. Dr. Sheehan is a modern family medicine professional. He will I have found give you straight answers. If anything the breakdown in doctor patient relationship breaks down when you have to enter the hospital. The Hospitalist Doctor takes charge and your PCP sits on the sidelines until you are out. The other breakdown occurs when you see multiple specialists. Each looks at you through one lense. Dr. Sheehan as the PCP should be the one to bring it together. Here is where I think he could improve. Overall Dr. Sheehan and his nurse practitioners have been what I would give as above average or four stars. Based upon my expectations. Could they do better yes, primarily on follow up and managing multiple specialist.

Board Certifications
What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
