I was operated on for a highly complicated aortic aneurysm graft (hemi arch) by Dr. Chung in January of 2019. He is incredibly knowledgeable, kind and caring. I was followed by Stanford and Scripps for years until I finally found Dr. Chung, who was at the time in LA at Cedars Sinai. What a difference! Dr. Chung immediate interviewed me about sudden death history in our family. As a matter of fact, we had about 6 or 7. No other doctor ever asked me about sudden death. Due to Dr. Chung's experience working at The Cleveland Clinic, he cited studies where this is a risk factor that would cause a doctor to recommend surgery to repair the aneurysm sooner than the standard 5.0 cm for females. I was operated on and the care I received by both Dr. Chung and the staff at Cedars Sinai Los Angeles was incredible. If you ever need heart surgery, go find Dr. Chung!!! He's the best! I know he is now with Loma Linda and ironically, my husband was just diagnosed with the same type of aneurysm.
