Patient Reviews
Nov 16, 2020
Outstanding on complex abdominal surgery for colon resection. Clear explanations at all stages, no hint of condescension to a female patient, minimal scarring that is impossible to find several years later, surgery performed with such nuance that my recovery was far shorter than average, took into consideration the long distance from my home to the hospital and accordingly authorized an additional day in the hospital to preclude the possibility of needing airlift if anything went wrong when I went home. Cannot find adjectives strong enough to recommend Dr. Castillo. The model of what a skilled, effective surgeon should be. I would trust him with my life again in a heartbeat!

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
