I was seen by Dr. Chavez in the McAllen office last week and was pleasantly surprised that he was very empathetic about my past experience with being dismissed by doctors who refused to treat my severe allergic asthma caused by severe allergies. He also was very adamant about jumping straight to steroids like other providers without further testing to rule out other possible lung issues due to family history. He also was very thorough with me and his staff concerning his plan of treatment for me even though I do not live in TX. He is very direct, honest, and informative. He gave me a sense of hope I have not felt with conventional medicine.
