Elmhurst Hospital doesn't have the best reputation. Clear that staff are overworked after a 4-day stay for pancreatitis (ED lost me!). Upon discharge I was told to come back to plan for gallbladder removal surgery. I have good insurance so could have gone anywhere & was hesitant after ED experience, but decided to hear them out. Surgery team (affiliated w Sinai) reassured my worries and took extra precautions like hematology analysis. Surgery was flawless. A+ to Dr. Mestre and surgical residents
