Patient Reviews
Jul 14, 2024
On the day before my 55th birthday, Dr. Brady performed robotic sigmoid colectomy surgery with anastomosis, removing a 15 cm segment of my colon due to recurrent diverticulitis. This condition caused daily pain and three ER visits over four years. After consultations with Dr. William L. Hasler and Dr. Brady at Mayo Clinic, surgery was deemed the best option. Three days post-surgery, I'm thrilled with my decision. The diverticulitis pain is virtually gone, and the surgical discomfort is tolerable. I went home after one night in the hospital, needing only muscle relaxers and acetaminophen. Dr. Brady and his care team were amazing, and everyone at Mayo Clinic Arizona was kind and compassionate. I did experience transient shoulder pain due to the CO2 gas used during surgery, but a TENS unit provided relief. If you suffer from recurrent diverticulitis, I highly recommend Dr. Brady, Dr. Hasler, and the Mayo Clinic Arizona team for relief.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
