My husband was fortunate to have Dr. Collier as his surgeon for a quadruple CABG surgery, after an attempt to place a stent (by an interventional cardiologist) almost killed him. My husband was high-risk, and I thank God for Dr Collier’s confidence and thoroughness. He took his time to explain everything required to prepare him for open heart surgery, and had every specialist needed to okay him for surgery prior to agreeing to do the surgery. He is a great doctor in my book! One problem encountered was that the surgery was so lengthy that the staff in the surgical waiting area left for the day, and did not tell us how we were supposed to find out everything about how things went AFTER the surgery. I see that as Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital’s fault.
