Dr. Green is our dermatologist of choice - highly skilled and experienced with a great bedside manner. His front staff, however, leaves a lot to be desired. I called to reschedule an appointment, was on hold for 15 minutes (insipid music with constant repetitious voice) then was disconnected while speaking to an appointment person. She never called me back, so I spent another 15 minutes on hold. When someone picked up, I asked her to call me back if we were disconnected again. She said, 'Well, I didn't hang up on you' in a petulant tone of voice. I explained that I had been on hold a very long time and didn't want to leave a message with Klara, their automaton. She then nastily said to me, 'Well, it doesn't help if you yell at me.' Not only did I not yell, but if she could tell that I was annoyed she should have apologized for the wait and handled me, a patient, with grace. Staff there should have a session on how to handle patients, especially ones who are frustrated by their system.
