I recently had an intradural schwannoma tumor removed from the lumbar area of my spine by Dr. Neira. He is an extremely gifted surgeon! His training with Dr. McCormick, where he operated on many spinal tumors, was a big plus for me. He also was more thorough in his evaluation than other surgeons I spoke to, taking the time to rule out an ependymoma before surgery, and his thorough process provided valuable information regarding my treatment plan. Two weeks post surgery I’m walking an hour a day in three twenty minute segments, and planning a vacation with my wife!I hope this review helps someone in choosing Dr. Neira. As Dr. McCormick wrote, 'Dr. Neira is not only an excellent surgeon he has the right personality for this type of work.” This is my way of saying 'thank you' to Dr. Neira, an excellent neurosurgeon and a good man!
