It seems to me that Dr. Neve is an 'old school' doctor; I mean that in the best possible way. In my experience the quality of medical care has gradually declined over the years, with most trying to make snap diagnoses and formulaic treatments, rather than listen for subtle differences among individual patients. That is inadequate in most specialties, but it is particular poor in psychiatry where so many symptoms are ambiguous and tend to overlap from one diagnostic category to another. That's why it is extremely important for a psychiatrist to listen carefully to a person's specific complaints, but also to look for changes in tone of voice, facial expression and other nonverbal information. Further, it is often difficult to find adequate words for unhappy feelings. A psychiatrist who listens carefully, as Dr. Neve does, makes it easier for a patient to relax and share private concerns more comfortably.
