In 2011, I contracted a rare disease, Guillain Barre Syndrome, that adversely affected my heart. In 2013, Dr. Karen Rasmussen treated me for a common cold. I couldn't even feel it, but she quickly determined that my heart was still badly miss beating. She immediately sent me to a great Cardiologist in Cypress who connected me to an excellent Electro cardiologist in Los Angeles. He performed an extensive ablation procedure for Atrial Fibrillation in 2016. The extensive internal scaring resulted in the electrical damage migrating into another chamber resulting in Atypical Atrial Flutter. In 2020, an Electro Cardiologist from the same office performed another very complicated ablation which to this day in February 2022 is still deemed successful. I will always be thankful to Dr. Rasmussen for helping me avoid a potentially devastating stroke from something I didn't even know existed.
