I went to UCSD emergency after midnight October 20, 2021. I had been ill and fatigued for days, with difficulty breathing suddenly severe. Dr. Jacobs used a CT Angiogram to look at my lungs, heart, etc. I never saw her...only heard her voice telling me when to breath in and hold, and when to exhale I don't recall her saying anything else. But I have the medical records that include her report, which I am only now coming to understand. The CT Angiogram was only of the many tests that were performed.... before I was diagnosed, at 5 a.m.,with "atypical pneumonia", and sent home with a prescription for antibiotics. I know the diagnosis was correct. But it is not so simple. I am STILL feeling constriction in my left lung. I believe this is explained by Dr. Jacob's report, which mentions "atelectasis," "consolidation," and "small, partially loculated pleural effusion", on my left side I am grateful for Dr. Jacob's expert help, and for the help of everyone at UCSD emergency.
