Dr. Rissi provided anesthesia for my husband at Vanderbilt University in 2023 and not only delivered his anesthesia during open heart surgery, but studied the uniqueness of the situation ahead of time, and gave me (the wife) support before and after the surgery. My husband has recently received the Guinness Award for the male who has lived the longest with two mechanical heart valves. Dr. Rissi recognized the need for special attention because of his having been on Warfarin therapy for 45 years. I remain grateful to have met her and experienced her skill and thorough approach to potential consequences.
