I am 72 years old; my husband is 68 years old. He has been diagnosed with metastatic renal cell carcinoma. We were blessed to meet Dr. Baksh in January 2019 at the James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital. In addition to being a hematologist, Dr. Baksh is also a licensed oncologist as well as licenced in internal medicine. Before she joined the VA, Dr. Baksh had experience working with Moffit Cancer Center. I am only presenting her credentials to demonstrate her depth of knowledge. Trust me, she knows what she's talking about! Dr. Baksh treats every patient like family, to the point where she gives us her personal cell phone number. She cares and worries about each of us like she would her immediate family and encourages us to call her if there are any worrisome symptoms during treatment. As I said in my introduction, I have been on this earth for 72 years and have never met a more knowledgeable, caring or amazing doctor than Dr. Baksh!
