My wife and I are both physicians but when my wife had a perforated colon due to what is usually a routine screening procedure, everything we knew about medicine went out the window. Dr Hatch understood our situation and she treated us as intelligent laymen—just what we needed. She gave us confidence that she could take care of the situation and her subsequent care was excellent. Since then, every time I passed her in a hospital corridor with one of my medical students, I would tell the student, That is Dr Hatch. She saved my wife's life.
