I met Kathryn Manning in 2021 when I was 19 years old during the hardest time of my life. I was mad at the entire world for having to be saved from myself. Within two minutes of our first conversation , I thoroughly tried to convince her to let me go home and that I would be fine. And to my absolute shock she did not discharge me from the psychiatric unit that day. That decision was what started my healing journey and changed my life for the better. I have never, and I mean never, come across a human with such a light inside of them. Her compassion, understanding, and communication skills are out of this world. I would not be alive to share this story if it were not for Kathryn Manning. I am 22 now, and this woman believed in me when I did not believe in myself and had hope for me when I was convinced there was none left. If there was more people who cared as much as she did this world would be a completely different place.
