I was sent from South Lake Tahoe because our ENT wasn’t available for a few days and I was admitted to the hospital then transferred to Renown health and was put in ICU. Within a few hours I was taken into surgery for incision and drainage on left submandibular space abscess. I continued to stay in the hospital another 5 days or so. But throughout my entire time Dr. Chevallier checked on me every morning and kept me well informed of every step of the way. Before the surgery she had told me every detail that could happen, what her plan of attack was, and the possible outcomes and risks. I’m 37, I was all by myself with no family. I was very nervous and being in ICU I was very scared. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Chevallier and all her details and decisions she made. I couldn’t be more thankful for her! She was calm, knowledgeable and got me on the road to recovery. I will be seeing her soon for my follow up and I’m looking forward to learn some more from her of what’s going on.
