I had severe anxiety due to experiencing a botched procedure elsewhere plus positive results the previous time. Dr. B took the time to speak with me before the procedure, was very calm and reassuring, completely understood my mindset, and was obviously extremely competent. She was very gentle and extremely thorough, and spoke with me following the procedure to advise how it had gone. Colonoscopies are really difficult to tolerate for many people; her empathy and competence made a huge difference for me! Of course we want our doctors to be competent; for many, it's just too much to ask that they have some compassion. Dr. B is both, abundantly!
